The natural forest is the best biological & physucal laboratory that provides the clue for our well-being. It also looks at the agricultural & living within the vicinity; their use & dependence on the diverse natural resources found within the boundaries of the park; & how rapid changes in socio-cultural norms are affecting the indigenous communities.

4. CROCKER RANGE SCIENTIFIC EXPEDITION 2002

This publication is one of the results of the Bornean Biodiversity and Ecosystems Conservation (BBEC) Programme in Sabah, Malaysia. The BBEC Programme is a joint endevour to integrate various efforts & to enhance comprehensive & sustainable approaches to the conservation of the natural environment in the state of Sabah, Malaysia by the Sabah State Government, University Malaysia Sabah & NGO's. The activities under the BBEC Programme have been implemented with the provision of technical & financial support of the Government of Japan through its agensy Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) since February 2002 & will be carried out until January 2007 (a period of 5 years).
