Policies

To preserve for all times areas which contain significant geographical, geological, biological, historical features or natural features of high aesthetic value as a national heritage for benefit, education and enjoyment of the Malaysian people, now and in the future.

Vision

Sabah Parks as a model for protected area management.

Mission

  1. Managing the Park efficiently and effectively through holistic management, human resource development and enforcement of Parks enactment.

  2. To identify and establish Park areas to include important ecology habitats within Sabah.

  3. To diversify and intensify research relating to the Park.

  4. To make inventory, document biodiversity and to research social component for constructing best strategical management of the Park.

  5. To conduct ex-situ conservation program for rare species, threatened unique.

  6. To be a basis of comparison in any environment changing in the future.

  7. To develop sustainable eco-tourism within the Park.

  8. To conduct awareness program and environmental research to visitors and society surrounding the Park.

Objectives

To protect and preserve Sabah Parks area relating to biological, geographical, geologically and historical in its natural state for the significance of ecological, educational and eco-tourism for the benefit of present and future generation.
